WHATS' YOUR NAME AND OCCUPATION
I am Fergus Linacre and sing and plays a little guitar too. Sometimes keys, synth, tambourine, sometimes dance. Also crowd control, but not like you think, if I see someone in the crowd not having a good time, I make them have a good time.

TELL US SOME HISTORY ABOUT YOURSELF AND HOW YOU BECAME A MUSICIAN
I grew up in a very musical family, often we’d sing and harmonize together, or act out Les Mis in the kitchen while Mum cooked. I was always surrounded by music and played in bands since I was 10. Funnily enough Al was also in that first band.

HOW DID KINGSWOOD BECAME A BAND?
It was pretty simple, my band mate Alex asked "wanna be in my band?” and I said sure.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU GUYS BEEN PLAYING TOGETHER AND YOUR FAVOURITE GIG YOU HAVE PLAYED?
Since we were 10, but Kingswood for about 12 years, maybe 15, about twice as long as the Beatles were together. I have many favourite gigs but Splendour 2017 stands out as one of my favourites.

WHERE IS THE BAND LOCATED?
We are on our European tour, and currently coming to you from a highway outside of Amsterdam. Absolutely flying in the left lane.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE PART OF BEING A MUSICIAN
So many things, can’t name one. Love writing and having a whiskey. Touring is awesome too.

WHAT'S THE HARDEST PART ABOUT TRAVELING ON TOUR?
Missing my mum and family.

WHICH BAND MEMBER HAS THE BEST AND WORST HABITS?
Bad habits are a plenty, Alex always late, I chew too loud.

Raw glory, camaraderie, acceptance

The Hives, on the AC/DC tour. We had a bunch of down time and playing secret shows was awesome.

 

TELL US SOME HISTORY ABOUT YOUR BIKE / CAR.
My bike is called Lea Sydoux, I bought it off Al a few years back when he got his thruxton. She is a 250 virago and I don’t know where she is as someone just a few weeks ago stole her.

HOW YOU GOT INVOLVED WITH WORKING ON CARS AND BIKE? WHY YOU LOVE WORKING ON YOUR PROJECTS?
Our studio is also a workshop, always had been, when we all lived in a house together we had a bike ramp that allowed us to ride under the house into the garage. Any project is often communal activity wether it’s working on someone’s bike or building looms for a tour.

DO YOU LIKE WORKING WITH YOUR HANDS AND GETTING ON THE TOOLS.
Absolutely, always a rewarding experience, and if you understand how something is built or works or if you’ve made it yourself you respect it and can fix it.

Feeling the cool wind in your hair.

Practice, make the music that is true to you, be kind to one another

WHAT JOB WOULD YOU DO IF YOU WEREN'T A MUSICIAN?
World class golfer, still can’t decide if I would have made the jump to LIV.

 

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT PARTNERING UP WITH KING GEE AND USING THERE TECHNICAL PRODUCTS?
It’s a match made in heaven as we were already pretty kitted up as we get to work often in the garage or studio, and can’t ruin your fancy stage clothes.

HOW DO YOU RATE KINGGEE CLOTHING WHEN WORKING ON YOUR HOBBIES AND PROJECTS OFF THE STAGE.
10/10 durable, functional, and look and feel great.
