THE HISTORY OF KINGGEE

  • 1939

    KingGee is established by Mr Robert Adcock in Sydney.

  • 1946

    KingGee supported the Australian war effort by supplying uniforms for the Department of Supply. This led to the creation of the iconic KingGee Overall.

  • 1970

    The slogan "Work With Ease in KingGee" was introduced, expanding the range to include men’s casual shorts and dust coats.

  • 1990

    The iconic campaign "If They Were Any Tougher They'd Rust" cemented KingGee’s reputation for durability. The Originals range launched, offering top-of-the-line workwear built to last.

  • KingGee pants and shirts 2000s

    WorkCool was launched, bringing innovative technological advancements to everyday workwear.

  • 2008

    WorkCool 2 and the Tradies Work Denim range highlighted durability and functionality, alongside a variety of technical workboots.

  • 2008

    KingGee launches the iconic slogan "You Wear The Crown" and introduces the XtremeGuard range, delivering next-level performance and protection for tradies. Celebrating 100 years, KingGee continues to set the standard as Australia’s leader in performance workwear, staying iconic now and into the future.
